Overview

Basset Hounds are a very recognizable breed and have been a popular pet to have around the home for decades. While they may not be the most affectionate or outwardly show their feelings often, they are deeply loyal and always charming. Their short coat may appear deceitfully low maintenance, but requires regular brushing to keep shedding down. Other than that, Bassets are a low key and easy going pup to have around. Plus, they have a nose whose scent tracking skills are second only to a Bloodhound, and their big, floppy ears and droopy eyes make them just adorable to look at.
